At Kent Precision, we collaborate with our trusted partners to offer bespoke 3D printing services directly integrated with our moulding. This allows your components to come to life with seamless production, all under one roof. Whether you're looking to add intricate designs or enhance the functionality of your components, we provide a comprehensive solution.

Types of Printing We Offer

Pad Printing

Pad printing is a method of transferring a 2D image onto a 3D object using a rubber pad in a pneumatic machine. The image is photo-etched into a cliché plate, ink is applied, and then the rubber pad picks up the ink and presses it onto your component, leaving the desired print.

Benefits of Pad Printing:

  • Ideal for Production: Suitable for high-volume runs and consistent quality.
  • Fast Throughput: Quick printing process, perfect for large-scale production.

Flatbed UV Printing

Flatbed UV printing is a highly cost-effective way to print large numbers of components with multiple colours. The printer head scans across the component, laying down ink, which is then instantly cured by UV light. You can also opt for an additional topcoat lacquer for extra durability.

Benefits of Flatbed UV Printing:

  • Fast and Cost-Effective: Perfect for high volumes with quick turnaround times.
  • Fantastic Picture Quality: Offers vibrant, crisp prints that bring your designs to life.

Dye Sublimation

In dye sublimation, a component is placed in a specialised jig and heated to remove any moisture. The component is then placed in the machine, where a film with the desired print is applied. Using infrared heat and vacuum pressure, the ink is drawn into the component, ensuring a high-quality, long-lasting print.

Benefits of Dye Sublimation:

  • Can Print Around Curves and Bends: Ideal for 3D shapes and complex geometries.
  • Durable Prints: Ink is absorbed into the material, ensuring the print lasts longer without fading.
