Our in-house designers are experts in product and tool design and are dedicated to helping you improve your product's mouldability, reduce costs, and optimize cycle times. We work closely with you to ensure the design meets both your functional and aesthetic requirements, while still being efficient for manufacturing.

Interactive Design Process

Throughout the design journey, we keep you closely involved with regular updates and 3D renders, allowing you to view and comment on your project in real time. Using SolidWorks, you can interact with rotating 3D models of your component, making it easy to suggest changes and visualize the final product.

Once the design is finalized, we can move quickly to 3D print a prototype a tangible version of your component that can be tested before moving on to tooling manufacture. This step ensures you're confident in your design before we proceed.

Designing for Efficiency and Functionality

Our designers work hand-in-hand with our toolmakers and moulding experts, ensuring every component is not only aesthetically pleasing and functional, but also optimally designed for mouldability. We take into account key design features such as split line, draft analysis, gate positioning, and ejector positioning to ensure seamless production.

Mould Design and Tooling

Once your component design is ready, we can create mould bases with cores and cavities that are ready for manufacturing. The design of your mould is provided free of charge when a mould tool order is placed with Kent Precision. Additionally, we can provide mould flow analysis, helping us predict critical factors like weight, cycle time, and tooling costs to give you an accurate quotation.
